I led this project for an innovative medical research at Zacht Studios.
The timeline represents the present and the future of the company. I used a transparency over the past items in the slide where the focus was on the future items and viceversa. For cohesion, the funnel also has the past elements in a lighter gray and lets the future events be the focus of the diagram.
Even though the timeline slide provides lots of information, this strategy allows the slide to breathe, providing a clear hierarchy and allows the presenter to talk over specific points.

I designed three button conventions. The top element at each phase are the milestones so they have a visual priority, then the blue one for the secondary elements and off white for the most common element, to avoid cluttering the page.
Looking at it now, I would improve the months distance because they’re not consistent with the duration; this difficults understanding with a quick glance.
